Bergen Go Club welcomes everyone to participate in Bergen Open during 30th of June to 1st of July.

The tournament is open for everyone, and it is not neccessary to participate in all of the rounds.

Location

The tournament is held in Allaktivitetshuset at Hjelteryggen on Sotra outside Bergen. Map of the location (the building to the left).

From the bus station in Bergen you can take the bus directly to Hjelteryggen. You can also take different busses going to Sotra and get off at the first stop after the Sotra bridge. From there it is around 10 minutes by foot to the tournament location.

It is possible to sleep in the building where the tournament is held, and private overnight stay for some.

For those who wish to stay at the tournament location it is recommended to bring a sleeping bag and mattress/groundsheet. The accomodation is free.

On Saturday it is possible to buy food at the near-by grocery store.

The tournament location has a kitchen, and it’s therefore possible to make your own food there.

Rules and schedule

Tournament system: 5 rounds of MacMahon with 6 1/2 komi.
Time: 60 minutes main time, and Canadian byo-yomi with 15 stones in 5 minutes.
Registration fees:

• Players under 15 years old: Free
• Students and pensioners: 100 NOK
• Others: 200 NOK
